02 / DJ Work

I’ve been a DJ longer than I’ve practiced any other form of music-making. It’s where I learned to listen to a room, follow energy, and shape feeling over time.

03 / Restorative Listening

Immersive sound experiences for deeper listening.

Restorative Listening is a developing practice rooted in sound, stillness, movement, and reflection. Through sound baths, immersive music, ritual, and audiovisual experiences, I create spaces to rest, reconnect, and notice what emerges.

There is no right way to participate.

Some experiences may invite stillness. Others may invite movement. Some may feel communal, meditative, ritual-based, or somewhere in between.

The intention is simply to create enough space for listening to become its own kind of practice.

04 / About

Baltimore rootsLos Angeles

Theodore Rexx is a Los Angeles–based film composer, musician, and DJ with roots in Baltimore. His work grows from a deep love of rhythm and the ways that music can hold a memory, carry a story, or pull a room full of strangers together.

His musical background spans percussion, guitar, and keyboards, including time as a percussionist with the Baltimore Ravens Marching Band. The elaborate rhythms of the drumline helped shape his fascination with movement and collective feeling. Baltimore club music offered another education, with local figures K-Swift and Diamond K among his early influences.

As a working DJ, he learned to attend to people gathering for the moments that matter to them. A celebration. A reunion. A night that opens into something unexpected. His selections draw on soul, global rhythms, and club music, making space for familiar songs and the pleasure of discovering something new.

Film composition is now at the center of his practice. Alongside his work for film, he still maintains his DJ practice and is developing Restorative Listening, a sound-based practice exploring rest, reflection, movement, healing, and deeper listening.
